Sweet Sixteen

Cole is 16 months old today.

Will we be traveling sooner than we thought?

I have been working on our adoption petition today, because our agency contacted me & told me that we needed to hurry up and get it done! This is the last bit of paperwork to be done in the process, on our end, and we were originally told that we wouldn't be preparing & sending it until later next month, so I am waiting to hear if we are closer to traveling than we originally thought....I hope to hear something by next week, and will keep everyone posted.

Our little bald boy...

Well, it looks like our little man got scalped again! And he's been getting over a bad cold, but other than that he's doing great:) He is currently 2' 4" tall.

Time To Party!

The invites have been sent, and it's time to party!

Our dear friends Beth & Mike are throwing us a party to celebrate Cole's arrival.

This is going to be our last chance to "party" for awhile, so we are really looking forward to getting together with our friends & family and having a huge celebration!

I can't tell you how much bringing our son home is going to mean to us. It is truly a wonderful blessing, and all we could ever hope for in life.

We want to thank each and everyone of you who have shared & supported us through our journey to Cole.

Father's Day

Happy Father's Day! Marc received some Daddy-to-Be gifts, which included books & a T-shirt from his mom, along with this rather useful card from me!

Unfortunately, the daddy-to-be is on his way to the airport today...has to catch a flight to Chicago for work:(

Oh well, I guess it's better that he does his traveling now, and is able to spend more time at home with his son later!!

Baby Gifts

We just received this beautiful blanket, which was handmade by Marc's Aunt Iva, for Cole. And an adorable little bear nightlight. Thank you Aunt Iva & Uncle Ben!

New Info

Yesterday I spoke with our agency, and found out some new information on Cole, which we felt we should share of course!

First Words/Phrase: "Give Me" Yep, that's our boy! Haha. Here are the other words he knows: "Take It", Grandma, Mama, Papa.

He eats almost anything, and of course loves sweets. What kid doesn't, right?

He sleeps peacefully from 8pm to 7am, but sometimes wakes at midnight wanting to have some sweet tea. I was warned to get ready to do midnight tea parties! He also takes two 1 hour naps a day. One in the late morning, and a 2ND in the afternoon.

He loves to play with cars, and balls.

He has 7 teeth. He has 4 on the top, 3 on the bottom, and 1 more starting to come in.

And last, but certainly not least, our boy has started "Potty Training" WooHoo!

That's all the new info we have for now, but our coordinator is going to meet with him next week, and get his height & weight, along with some new photos, so stay tuned...

New Gifts For Cole

Our baby boy is getting more spoiled by the day, and he isn't even here, yet!

We just received an adorable little teddy bear, and two canvas storage bins....the large one for "toys" has wheels on the bottom, which are surely going to come in handy.

These wonderful gifts came from aunt Sharon & uncle Fred, and we'd like to thank them very much for sending these precious items for Cole:)

The Nursery

We just received Cole's new crib, dresser, and changing station. The nursery is finally starting to come together. We still need to order a mattress for the crib, add some photos/prints, shelves, toys, the crib bedding, etc., but this will all come in due time.

I should also mention that Marc & I put a lot of work into the nursery, and it has come a long way from it's original appearance. We put in the hardwood flooring, wainscoting, new 5" baseboards, chair rail, new paint, and we did it all ourselves. Not bad for a couple of amateurs!
